Well – it may only be the 30th December, but we are really busy with enquiries for next year. But we like being busy so you won’t hear any complaints from us, in fact, the more the merrier!
Just before Christmas we went to a ‘do’ at the Croatian Embassy and met up with the Director of Dubrovnik Airport. He told us a little known secret. Apparently under the new terminal which opened comparatively recently, when they were excavating, they found a fantastic network of underground caves. He has promised us a wine tasting treat in this subterranean secret next time we visit.
Talking of all things air, Norwegian Air have expanded their flights to Croatia for 2014. They are now flying twice a week into Split and Dubrovnik, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from London Gatwick. We are really glad to learn this – particularly for flights to Split where there is rather – ahem – a monopoly from the ‘orange’ airline which makes seats very expensive the more popular a route becomes and the closer to the departure date one leaves it. It’s funny – but the whole thing is turned on its head – these days you actually get a better value holiday the earlier you book.
With this in mind we have an amazing early booking deal with our top seller, Hotel Bozica. Located on the beautiful island of Sipan, an oasis of peace and tranquillity, we get people returning year after year after year here. They are offering us free wine and fruit in room upon arrival, free room upgrade subject to availability, free return
airport taxi AND SPEEDBOAT transfers, and a free a la carte email in their fabulous restaurant, and then to work it off, a day’s free cycle hire, the best way to get off the beaten track on this authentic Croatian island. This is a great offer for those who book before the end of January 2014.
We’ve also got a great offer for the new top notch cruise on the MS Splendid. With departures throughout 2014, there is an extra 10% off for those booking by the end of January. This is a great way to explore Croatia as you call in at so many different places, such as Hvar, Bol, Brac, Makarska, and Mljet National Park, as well as the perennial favourite Croatia holiday destinations of Split and Dubrovnik of course.
We have also adopted the charity Reuben’s Retreat which was set up by a fellow travel industry member following the tragic and unexpected loss of her youngest son. The Family remain inspirational and positive and, therefore, a lesson to us all. We are proud to support them and we’ll soon have a link off our home page direct to them.
