Villa Pattiera is a boutique hotel in Cavtat with just 12 well appointed rooms over 3 floors. It has a well deserved reputation for sending home some very happy holidaymakers with very positive feedback.
Your hosts are the Mandic family who lovingly and carefully restored this Renaissance building. They still own and manage the property and are on hand to provide everything needed to make a holiday really special. The hotels itself is just steps from the clean pebble beach and pristine Adriatic sea.
Facilities include a concierge service and 24 hour reception.
Cavtat itself is a bustling village where fishermen still sell their catch, fresh on harbourside. There are plenty of little bars and restaurants, all run with pride and passion by families. No large multi national or chains here. Shops sell souvenirs and there are a couple of very good clothes shops too.
Moving slightly inland from the coast, this whole area invites exploration inland as well. The friendly team at Villa Pattiera will be happy to supply details of local walks, or arrange cycle hire. Even wine tasting tours, or how about an ancient water mill?
Cavtat is only 5km from Dubrovnik airport and 17km from Dubrovnik old town itself. Taxis, water taxis (in main season) and public transport are easy to find and buses are great value for money.
All rooms are fully air conditioned and have satellite tv, internet access, ensuite shower/bath, direct dial telephone, mini bar, safe and room service. Very comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated. Some have terrace or balcony. There is also a huge private sun terrace with plenty of outdoor furniture and sun parasols, to the rear of the property – perfect to take coffee and read at your leisure.
Villa Pattiera, Cavtat, also has one of the most popular restaurants in Cavtat. Breakfast may be taken outside on the shady terrace where guests are encouraged to enjoy fresh pastries yoghurt, juices, cold meat and cheese and of course eggs cooked to order.
Most evenings, guests decide to dine al fresco at the restaurant and enjoy the magnificent sunset over the sea. However, on rare chillier evenings, there is a cosy indoor restaurant. Food is predominantly Mediterranean in style using fresh herbs, with plenty of the fresh fish and shellfish for which Croatia is so well known. We’d recommend the fresh tagliatelle with anything !
Completely Croatia says: An ideal choice for couples and honeymooners wanting to sample the very best Croatian boutique holiday experience. We cannot recommend Villa Pattiera highly enough.
Completely Croatia customer reviews
Dear Ms Darby,
We have recently returned from our holiday in Cavtat where we stayed for 11 nights at the Villa Pattiera. I thought I would write just to say what a marvelous holiday we had and to thank you for making the necessary arrangements.
Everything went well – the flights, the transfers and the hotel was excellent. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, the room was well appointed and the hotel spotless. The meals were excellent – we had our evening dinner in the restaurant Dalmacija each evening and although we were on the half board menu, we were never spoilt for choice.
We went on three excursions booked though Maia, who came to see us on the first day, and went to Korcula, Mostar and Montenegro. These proved fascinating; particularly the trip to Mostar, given its recent history, although all three were fairly demanding given the long drives. There were just six of us to Mostar and Montenegro and a break during the journey to and from Mostar would have been useful. However, there probably wasn’t time for this, particularly if that eroded the time at Mostar. The guides at Korcul and Mostar were excellent; particularly Michael (I think it was) at Mostar.
All in all a most satisfactory holiday and thank you again.
