Visit the beautiful San Giorgio for a real feeling of yesteryear.
Opened following total renovation, in 2004, San Giorgio is located in the Kut area just outside of the town of Vis, on the island of Vis this is a real boutique property, nestled in narrow cobbled streets yet only 20 metres from the sea. There are plenty of beaches both pebbly and sandy within easy walking distance.
Breakfast may be taken either in the hotel’s modern restaurant, or outside in the quaint lemon scented courtyard.
The hotel has 6 junior suites, 3 double bedrooms and a honeymoon suite, complete with large terrace having fabulous views, and a Jacuzzi. All are fully air conditioned and have ensuite facilities.
Things to do
The hotel has a massage and beauty service which is bookable locally. Guests may hire bikes to explore this most unspoilt of islands. Diving is also available. Within a 15 – 20 minute walk is the centre of the town of Vis which has plenty of small family run restaurants, serving the best of Dalmatian cuisine, including the freshest of fish and salad.
Vis is steeped in history and has been a pivotal island throughout history. Obvious from the architecture. It was also strategically well located during the second world war. In fact – we are told there is a place somewhere on the island where warships were totally concealed. This maybe local folklore but it certainly sounds interesting !
It is likely, owing to ferry timings, that guests selecting this hotel will spend the first night of their holiday in a small boutique property in Trogir. As tailor made specialists we will take care of everything for you.
Completely Croatia says:- “this is the perfect ‘hideaway’ holiday destination. Not for those needing a thrumming nightlife, but if you want to really escape modern life and completely unwind – this is the place for you.”
