This mystifying, natural phenomenon creates a magical effect of deep blue and shiny silver. Sometimes high seas will prevent entrance to Blue Cave, but this will not known until the morning that is scheduled for our visit. If that happens,an alternative half-day tour of Vis Island ,to include the World War II RAF Airport, and Komiža, a particularly beautiful town boasting the longest fishing tradition on the east Adriatic sea.
After a swim, lunch is served while the ship sails towards the sunniest island in Croatia, the island of Hvar, with its many beautiful coves and bays. Hvar is one of the most popular, very attractive tourist destinations and a meeting point for the international jet set and yacht owners.
Once the ship docks at Hvar, a local English speaking guide will walk you throughout the town introducing you to the history, culture and way of life on this island. The guide will explain how lavender was traditionally farmed on the Island of Hvar for centuries.
