Trekking, walking and swimming are the key activities on this week long adventure. PLEASE ensure you bring comfortable walking shoes or you will definitely miss out ! Designed for energetic guests, the activities are moderate in demand.
Due to the Parks being VERY crowded during late July and the early part of August, we do not run the trip then as overcrowding spoils the whole experience.

>Arrive in Zagreb or Rijeka, after a 60 or 90 minute transfer, settle into the Hotel Zeleni Kut, meet up in the hotel lobby for an informal welcome drink and evening snack. Use this opportunity to meet your fellow adventurers and Guides and learn more about the itinerary.
Today, we will be driven to the Risnjak National Park in the Risnjak mountain range. Here we start our hike in Vilje walking towards our goal – Big Risjak, the highest peak in the mountain range. Here we rest at the mountain hut 100 m below the summit and admire the views over the sea, the peaks of Gorski Kotor and even the Alps. Then we will descend slowly back to Vilje for our drive back to the hotel for dinner
Van drive 90- 120 minutes, walking – 3 – 4 hours, terrain – easy/moderate, well marked paths.
Today we head off for Velebit and the famous Premuzic path. This park is known for the unusual diversity in its plant and animal life. A wealth of forests, canyons, cliffs and caves. Along the route are several vantage points with fantastic views over to Zadar. The path is reasonably gentle and passes through a dense forest. Your accommodation in the Plitvice Lakes National Park is provided by the residents of Korana Village, tucked away in a valley by the Korana River .

Van drive 150 minutes, Hiking, 4 – 5 hours, easy/moderate, well marked paths.
After breakfast, leave the hotel by van for a drive to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Plitvice Lakes. This day will be spent hiking around the park, enjoying the breathtaking natural splendour. There are 16 emerald green lakes, over 90 waterfalls and many caves.
The lakes are surrounded by beech and pine forests and are home to a wide variety of wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the trail. In the afternoon, return to the village of Korana in time for a swim in the clear river just before dinner.
Van Drive 15 minutes, Walking, 4-5 hours, easy terrain, well marked paths.
Today will be your day off to be as lazy or as active as you like in the Plitvice Lakes National Park. You could relax by the river, swim or take the optional cycling tours. You will be offered a variety of optional tours, walking, sightseeing or visiting the beach. Please note all these optional excursions will be dependant on the organisers achieving a minimum of 4 participants or a change in the weather conditions.
Van drive for the optional excursions a maximum of 120 minutes each way.
Today we venture south into the Paklenica National Park. One of the most famous for hiking and rock climbing. There are many distinctive canyons with spectacular river flows. The locals are considered nomads, as, due to the terrain, the indigenous people spent Summers high, coming closer down in the Winter months. On your trek, you will see plenty of shepherds huts which provide shelter. There are many hiking trails in this park and the most popular is the trail leading to the mountain hut at Borisov Dom, after reaching this point we descend all the way to the sea. Then we drive to Skradin and check into the Skradinski Buk Hotel.
Van Drive 120 – 180 minutes, Walking, 4-5 hours, moderate terrain, well marked paths.
For the last day of our trek we visit Krka National Park, exploring the park’s extensive water courses and history dating back to the 10th century. Here there is an option for us to visit the Skradinski Buk waterfall, followed by a boat ride to Visovac Island to visit the Franciscan Monastery. After walking we return to the hotel to enjoy some time in the old town before our final dinner together as a group.

After breakfast, depart from Skradin to Split, Zadar or Zagreb for the airport and your return trip home of for transfer to your onward accommodation if you are staying for longer.
Not included are any alcoholic drinks, lunches, or picnics during the day. Travel insurance or optional gratuity to your Guide.

- Meals – food does tend to be heavily focused towards meats, sausages, breads, pastries, pastas and dumplings. Should you have a specific dietary requirement, please let us know as soon as possible. Vegetarian diets cans also be catered for, however, we do recommend you bring along your preferred high protein snacks.
