Day 1 – Arrive into Zagreb and private transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 – Zagreb – Opatija After breakfast take a walking tour of the Capital of Croatia, Zagreb. Accompanied by an English speaking Guide, visit the Medieval Upper Town, St Marks church, famous for its multi coloured tiled roof. The Government Palace and other ancient buildings of note. After this drive to Opatija (approx 2 ½ hours) Located on the pretty Kvarner Bay, an historic spa resort favoured by the Glitterati in bygone eras. Overnight in Opatija.
Day 3 – Istria Visit the ancient Roman Colosseum, in Pula, then stroll around Rovinj, one of the most picturesque towns in the region, much favoured by artists, its easy to see why. After time here, move on to Motovun, an ancient village perched on top of a hilltop, back to Opatija to overnight. (a long-ish day – starting at 09:00 – returning at approx 18:00)
DAY 4 – Split Morning departure to Plitvice National Park, a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour of the 16 crystal – blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. Walk on the wooden promenades with magnificent views on the waters where every turn leads to a breathtaking scenery and yet another waterfall. Surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice lakes are a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty. Departure to Split with a short stop in another of the UNESCO protected sites, the small town of Trogir. Visit St. Lawrence’s Cathedral, located in the old city centre, and its main western portal – masterpiece of Radovan, represent the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia. Dinner and overnight Hotel in Split/Split area/.
DAY 5 – SPLIT – HVAR Breakfast at hotel. During the late morning enjoy a Guided walking tour of the fascinating town of Split and Diocletian’s Palace with it’s numerous archaeological, historical and cultural sites. During the afternoon take the Ferry (or catamaran) from Split to the island of Hvar. Overnight in 4 star Hvar Town hotel.
DAY 6 – HVAR Breakfast at hotel. During the morning enjoy Guided walking tour of the town of Hvar. Hvar is an ancient town of a unique cultural and historical heritage and also an important tourist resort with a centuries-old tradition in tourism. Its also well known for its pleasant climate, a lot of sunshine, lavender, natural beauty, excellent cuisine reliant upon a wide range of fresh fish. Water sports abound.
Overnight in hotel.
DAY 7 – HVAR – KORČULA Breakfast at hotel. In the afternoon, depart by boat from Hvar harbour to Korcula Island. Evening arrival to Korčula, overnight in 4 star hotel, Korčula.
DAY 8 – KORČULA – DUBROVNIK Breakfast at hotel. Free morning to explore the old town of Korcula. The alleged birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Experience the narrow cobbled streets, beautiful churches and magnificent Palaces in one of the best preserved medieval towns to be found anywhere!. Early afternoon leave Korcula for Dubrovnik. Arrive Dubrovnik, overnight in 4 star hotel.
DAY 9 – DUBROVNIK After Breakfast at your hotel. During the late morning enjoy a Guided tour of the Old Town Dubrovnik. Overnight in 4 star hotel.
DAY 10 – DUBROVNIK Breakfast at hotel. Your free day, we’d recommend a day visit to nearby Elaphite Islands or Island of Lokrum. (price not included in tour). Your Guide will assist with purchase of tickets if required. Overnight in 4 star hotel.
DAY 11 – DUBROVNIK After breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport or for your hotel for those staying longer.
