Its something we constantly chat about here in the office, how can we genuinely get over the point to our potential holidaymakers that the earlier they book, the better, – their holidays will be genuinely cheaper than leaving it until the last minute AND they will get their first choice. So far we have taken 6 bookings for Hotel Bozica for as far ahead as September 2014
For those wanting a boutique-hotel style Croatia holiday, the mere fact that the hotels we feature are small and family run and are generally less than 16 rooms provides a clue as to how quickly they are likely to fill up. Particularly bearing in mind that Croatia is a popular destination throughout Europe, not just amongst the British. This week we have spent most of our time advising people that hotels are full for their ‘close to departure peak season dates’, this is good for nobody to be honest.
Part of Croatia’s charm is that there is hardly any building and there are no resorts, (which we feature anyway), which are huge developments of massive hotels. The Government is also really strict about any new building, nothing can be over one storey high. They recognise and are protecting their priceless coastline.
So why are holidays to Croatia booked earlier going to be less expensive? Well – first off there is the early booking discount which the majority of our hoteliers give to us for bookings made before the end of February – these are usually in the region of 10 – 15% off our already reduced specially negotiated rates, so there is one. The other is because the airlines which serve Croatia are pretty much all the no frills style of airlines, those whose prices increase the closer one gets to departure date, and/or the more popular a flight is. They are without doubt cheapest when first launched.
So our advice from the heart, is to try to sort out your Croatia holiday as early as you can – from October the previous year to about mid-February for travel in the same year, will definitely see you getting best value and the best choice.
Luxury holidays are also those which seem to sell out the quickest. We recommend looking at The Villa Dubrovnik at least a year in advance.
There are more departures for 2014 for the 5 star De Luxe Cruise. A real top seller for 2013. We experimented with this for the first time in 2013 and were taken aback by how quickly it sold out – if you want to take a look at a variety of different places in Croatia then this is the way to do – in style as a real luxury holiday. In fact we laid on another one departing in September this year too. Luxury cruising around the Croatian coast, can’t be bad….
