Experiencing Croatia first hand has allowed us to discover some really fantastic places to visit, such as restaurants, beaches, small villages and scenic beauty spots. We plan to let you know about some of our experiences so that you can include them in your Croatian holiday.
Konoba Kod Marka
We were over in Croatia a couple of weeks ago and were lucky enough to go and eat for the second time at the fabulous Konoba Kod Marka. Tucked away in the cove at Sipanska Luka on the island of Sipan. It’s the best known haunt for the finest food by the sailors who berth overnight here. We wouldd suggest booking if you can – and try the taster menu. Seven individual course, featuring plump fresh anchovies, squid and tuna carpacchio. Michael Winner, (God rest him), thought this simple restaurant served some of the best fish he had tasted anywhere in the world.
Konoba Kod Marka is located right on the water front and the staff of this exclusive restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. Main sailors claim this restaurant to have one of the best kitchens that they have encountered in the world. The quiet harbour is extremely pretty with dotted palm trees and limestone houses.
Sipan is the largest of the Elafiti islands near Dubrovnik, for hotels in this area, have a look our hand selected hotels on the Dubrovnik Holidays page.
