Castelletto

The charming 3 star Castelletto hotel is situated only 300m from the sea at Cavtat, perfectly located to enjoy the bustling fishing village and its plentiful restaurants, bars and cafes.

There are just 13 rooms altogether, 2 standard – larger rooms but with no balcony, 5 superior which have sea view or pool and inland view and balcony/terrace (some shared) or 1 DeLuxe at top floor level, also with full sea view and private larger balcony/terrace – this is more like a Suite – its huge.

Rooms are furnished with tiled floors and wooden furniture. All have en-suite bathroom facilities which have complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. As well as bathroom towels, pool towels are available free of charge to hotel guests. Cots are free, also on request. All rooms have a small fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities as well – quite rare in Croatia!

There is a lovely bright lounge available to guests which has satellite TV, and wifi is available free of charge to guests. There is also a PC at the reception area. There is a well stocked bar open until 23:00 every night. Breakfast is served both inside and out the hotel either in the restaurant or on the terrace next to the pool – buffet in style there is a wide range of fresh fruit, yoghurt and pastries, as well as several hot items such as boiled or scrambled eggs.

Outside, there are plenty of little shaded seating areas, as well as a barbecue where you can partake of the lovely lamb, beef or pork cooked ‘under the bell’ or spit roasted. There is a decked area with small pool with sunbeds and parasols. There is a decked area at a higher level as well; – which has some great views over the terracotta roofs to the village of Cavtat.

The friendly Managers, Dejan and Kristina are on hand to assist with planning day trips whether a private boat with captain to take you away for the day, or to arrange cycle hire, or recommend the best restaurants in and around the area.

The old town of Dubrovnik is easily reached by bus or taxi and takes about 25 minutes, or from the harbour in Cavtat, take the water taxi which takes about 45 minutes,cruising along the coast.
