This 4 star property was opened for the first time in 2007 and is owned and run by the Kristic family. Attentive service and quality are bywords. And the restaurant is so good that locals travel from the mainland to dine here.
Feedback from Completely Croatia clients wise enough to have chosen this hotel during 2012 has been unparalleled. In fact, such is the popularity of this property we really do strongly recommend you look to book this hotel up to a year in advance to avoid any possible disappointment.
Your Croatia holiday will really start from the moment you are picked up by private taxi from Dubrovnik Airport and driven along the coastal road with its panoramic views. Then transferred at a tiny harbour outside Dubrovnik to the hotel’s speedboat and whisked across to the Bozica. Given there are no traffic holdups, we confidently claim that you will be at the hotel within an hour and a half of landing. Totally seamless and an amazing experience. Your holiday starts here.
Rooms
All non smoking rooms are luxuriously furnished and located over just 3 floors. All benefit from air conditioning, fast internet access, satellite TV, mini bar and hairdryer Beach towels are also supplied. Rooms on the first and second floor all have stunning sea views. Balcony rooms and Suites also offering a private balcony. Rooms on the third floor are cheaper, quite quirky, have exposed beams and are named ‘Starlight Rooms’ given their windows face skywards – perfect for star gazing.
Without exception, great attention to detail has been taken with the furnishing of the rooms in Hotel Bozica – the colours have been chosen to promote a feeling of relaxation and well being and no expense has been spared on the linen and soft furnishings. There is a room specifically fitted which meets (and exceeds) the criteria for those guests requiring wheelchair access, lift access is also available to all floors and ramp access to the hotel reception and pool areas. There is a newly opened indoor bar where clients may enjoy a cocktail or coffee if the sea view gets too much?
Subject to availability, a room upgrade will also be offered to Completely Croatia clients.
Things to do
As previously mentioned, nothing is too much trouble for your hosts who are happy to organise tailor made excursions to the nearby islands, or perhaps night fishing under candlelight? Scuba diving is also available as is pony trekking in the hills just outside Dubrovnik, a perfect way to get right off the beaten track. The hotel also has a small boat with an outboard engine which you may hire locally by the hour – maybe to enjoy some snorkeling off the nearby islands? There are also mountain bikes and sea kayaks available for hire. Honeymooners have complimentary sparkling wine and fruit in their room upon arrival. For the romantic among you looking for the perfect spot to ‘pop the question’ how about a sunset proposal aboard a speedboat complete with champagne ? Ask us – we can prebook this at time of your reservation and keep it a secret from the lucky recipient.
There is a public ferry which operates from the small harbour at Sudarad and takes approximately 1 hour to reach Dubrovnik, the cost is approximately Euro 4 per person each way. Hotel Bozica also has its own speedboat which can offer transport directly into the Harbour of the City of Dubrovnik.some 8 NMs away. There is a local charge for this, however, you can choose to return at any time of night ( or morning!) We recommend to get the best value from this, to liaise with fellow guests as 6 will pay the same price as 2.
Eating Out
Apart from the renowned a la carte restaurant, there is an aperitif and snack bar at the pool. Whilst we would normally shy away from recommending half board, we are confident to do so here and indeed can offer this on a flexible basis. Resident chef Mate Kristic is an incredible talent and produces stunning food of an exceptional quality using fish which is caught freshly every day; fruit and vegetables grown in the hotels’ own organic garden, as well as their own olive oil. Unusually for Croatia, there is an excellent variety of vegetarian menu options. The restaurant also operates a no smoking policy.
Completely Croatia says:- we are so fortunate to have found this hotel, with whom we now have a close relationship which works very well to our clients’ advantage. We continue to receive a very high number of repeat bookings to this property.
To avoid disappointment, we genuinely recommend early reservation, particularly for peak season – with only 15 Sea View rooms, they fill up fast. There are 5 other restaurants in the village and another 5 on the other side of the island.
Completely Croatia says:- one of our most popular hotels, we have worked with the Kristic family since the hotel first opened and are delighted to continue our long and fruitful partnership which ultimately benefits our clients immensely !
