Originally a summer residence built in 1906 in lush Mediterranean gardens amidst fragrant pine trees, Hotel Borik on the island of Korcula was completely renovated in 2007. Located over three distinct terraces, the hotel enjoys beautiful views over the harbour at Lumbarda.
Whilst there are 80 rooms in total, Completely Croatia sell exclusively, the air conditioned rooms in the more characterful and better appointed Main Building. There are just 23 of these rooms over two floors. Fully air conditioned with ensuite complete with hair dryer, rooms are a good size and of excellent three star standard. Internet access is also available in the hotel’s lounge bar.
The hotel sits atop a terrace, with steps leading down to the newly opened pool area, which has plenty of sun beds, parasols and some lovely shady spots. Further steps lead down to the restaurant and pizzeria. This means that the hotel enjoys some great views and feels more private than those located directly at road level. Its only 50m from the sea and the pebble beach of Tatinja. There is a path passing vineyards and an olive grove to the sandy beach of Przina
The hotel’s restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine and special diets can easily be catered for with prior notification.
The hotel’s concierge will be more than happy to assist with excursions to the town of Korcula, and island tour or a day trip to Hvar. Close by to the hotel itself is a diving centre, kayak hire, cycle hire, fishing, hiking and beach volleyball.
In terms of reaching the hotel, we can arrange transfers by private car and ferry, or by private boat all the way from Dubrovnik. Just let us know your preference.
Completely Croatia says:- This is a lovely property in a superb location, however, given the steps up to the three terraces, , and the fact that the hotel doesn’t have a lift, we wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with mobility issues. This hotel is more about the location than the star rating!
